House of Crawfish reminds me of the really popular Boiling Crab restaurants popping up all over the Bay Area. The best food on the menu is ALWAYS going to be the seafood by the pound boiled in special sauce and served to you in a giant plastic bag. I have been here twice and I left very happy and very stuffed both times. The crawfish and shrimp in either the mild sauce or the medium sauce are amazing. Average cost is about $10-12/lb.

This place is on par with Crawdaddy and Boiling Crab in San Jose and is MUCH, MUCH better than Ray’s Crabshack in Newark and Red Crawfish here in the city.

I wouldn’t have known about House of Crawfish if I hadn’t walked by one day. You should definitely check it out..it’s finger lickin’ good!

This place is great. The chef came out to greet me and make sure the food was great, which it was. Being from the south originally, I am glad to offer a stamp of approval and am excited there is a place serving up great crawfish. I had the boiled crawfish and shrimp, sweet potato fries, fried alligator (which was some of the best alligator I’ve ever had), and fried okra. Everything was crisp, fresh, and aside from tasting great, the recipes were well executed. I can’t wait to go back!

While visiting San Fran we found this place on Yelp. We had the alligator nuggets and my four year old ate almost all of them. Then we were served some delicious crawfish gumbo which was out of site. The rice was cooked to perfection and the spice was just right. We all had enough crawfish based on the portion size. We then received two classic steamers with lobster, crawfish, peel and eat shrimp and it was plenty for two adults and two children. We really enjoyed the special attention that we received from the owner and the waiter. Would recommend this to become your local favorite hotspot for Cajun food and hospitality.

My boyfriend and I had lunch here last Sunday and we thought the was delicious. We had gumbo soup, fried catfish and the Atchafalaya bag. The flavors were right on! The sauce in the latter is really flavorful and the corn was yummy! We ordered the alligator nuggets towards the end of the meal which tasted okay but the thought of alligator made it difficult to swallow. But, my boyfriend had no problem finishing the rest.

My first thought when I walked in was the place looked like a club. Turns out the place IS a club; a venue for private events after 10p on certain days. Staff is friendly and service is decent for a new restaurant that’s been open for three weeks.
